PDS Instruments work with California Instruments and Voltech Instruments to provide equipment for EMC pre-compliance and full compliance testing. A list of the IEC/EN standards that we offer test solutions to can be found below.

Cost effective solutions for compliance testing to IEC61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC61000-3-3 flicker and several AC power related IEC61000-4 standards.
Available in a range of power levels from 3000VA to 90kVA, the CTS series provides cost effective full compliance testing for both single and three phase products. The CTS series is the only compliance test system on the market that uses a PC bus based high speed data acquisition system to record complete data on all measurements taken from the Equipment Under Test (EUT). This effectively eliminates the IEEE-488 interface throughput bottle necks that plagues most IEC test systems available today.
The powerful CTS software takes full advantage of this high speed acquisition system by displaying real-time data and continuous pass fail calculations during the entire test run. No need to wait for a two hour flicker test to finish before the outcome of the test is known. With a CTS system, the operator is always up to date on test progress and test results.

Certified Compliance
The California Instruments CTS System has been independently certified to meet full compliance to the IEC61000-3-2 Harmonics and IEC 61000-3-3 Flicker test standards by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). NPL is an accredited test laboratory and an internationally recognised authority on low frequency AC calibration.
Voltech offers complete solutions for full or pre-compliance testing to the current IEC/EN standards EN61000-3-2 (harmonics) and EN61000-3-3(flicker). The powerful PM6000 easily meets the requirements of the latest version of EN61000-4-7 (harmonic measurement instrumentation) including the requirements for inter-harmonic grouping and a 200ms measuring window. The PM6000 also implements the requirements for a reference instrument by using a discrete fourier transform as opposed to a fast fourier transform (FFT), providing reliable, error-free harmonic measurements in all conditions.
The harmonic standard is currently in a transitional mode and Voltech has two measuring solutions. The PM3000ACE and its software comply with the transitional clause of EN61000-4-7, but this will be withdrawn in December 2007. It is recommended that all new designs are tested for compliance with the latest EN61000-4-7, and this is only available on the PM6000. Please contact us for more information.
Certified Compliance
The Voltech PM6000 has been type tested by NPL for testing to IEC61000:2001. Copies of the certificates for this testing can be supplied on request. The PM6000 is currently being tested again for compliance to IEC61000:2006. Certificates will again be made available once this testing has been completed.
