Voltech Instruments - Power Analysers & Wound Component Testers

Power Analysers

Wound Component (Transformer & Inductor) Testers

Voltech Power Analysers

Considered the World leaders of power analysis, Voltech offer a comprehensive range of power analysers. Single, three and multi phase units are available. The PM3000A has been an industry bench mark for IEC/EMC testing for many years. This role as bench mark for IEC/EMC testing (Harmonics to IEC61000-3-2 and IEC61000-4-7 and Flicker to IEC61000-3-2 and IEC61000-4-15) is now being taken over by the high performance PM6000. The PM6000 can be configured with up to 6 independent sampling channels each offering a 10MHz (40Ms/s) sample rate. The PM6000 offers a colour display and has many advanced measurement features. The NEW PM1000+ has been launched in Q1 2008 and looks set to dominate the market for low power measurements and is aimed at meeting the ever increasing demand for a low cost product for testing stand by power and other areas associated with energy saving. In addition the PM1000+ makes a great low cost general purpose power analyser. Voltech also offer the low cost PM100/PM300 (single and three phase variants) for basic power measurement applications.

PM6000 - Advanced Power Analyser

PM6000 Demo Request

PM6000 Quotation Request

Versatile, accurate, fully-featured and yet easy-to-use, the Voltech PM6000 provides definitive measurements of all electrical power quantities on all products that consume, convert or generate electrical power.

The PM6000 is a next generation power analyser, the first available with all these features:

  • Up to 6 wattmeter channels - each with it’s own DSP to avoid bandwidth loss
  • 0.02% reading and 0.05% range accuracy
  • 10 MHz bandwidth (5MSPS continuous and up to 40 MSPS sampling in burst mode)

The PM6000 combines years of Voltech’s power measurement know-how with the latest digital signal processing technology to provide a unique combination of measurement and reporting features that will solve power measurement problems.

Applications

The PM6000 is ideal for making measurements of electrical power on any electrical or electronic product. From low-power standby measurements on wall chargers, through domestic and office equipment to high-power traction power electronics, the PM6000 will make reliable and accurate measurements every time.

IEC Harmonics and Flicker - Are you up to date? The PM6000 has recently been tested buy NPL and has been certified for Harmonics and Flicker testing to the recently revised standards. For further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Harmonics to IEC61000-3-2 and IEC61000-4-7 and Flicker to IEC61000-3-2 and IEC61000-4-15.

DO160 Harmonics Analysis - Voltech have just launched a NEW DO160 harmonics analysis software package for the PM6000. The software controls the PM6000 and makes all the required measurements to produce either a single or three phase harmonics analysis report for DO160 testing. For a limited period this software package is available FREE OF CHARGE to any new or existing PM6000 users. For further information on this software and how you can get it, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Power Supplies - Ideal for measurements on power supplies, from wall chargers to UPS and high-power converters, the PM6000 makes accurate measurements on all waveforms. Also tests to IEC61000-3-2.

Domestic and Office Goods - The power consumption of everyday home and office electrical appliances is of importance to consumers and generators of electricity alike.

AC Motors and Drives - The versatile PM6000 will make simultaneous measurements at the input and output of a motor drive, allowing accurate efficiency measurements under all load and speed conditions.

Power Transformers - Power transformers are characterized under open-circuit and short-circuit conditions. Open circuit, the power factor of the transformer is close to zero (<0.01), which demands very low phase error of the power analyzer.
