PDS Instruments Ltd was formed in 2006. The founder members of the company had a common goal…to provide quality power sources, electronics test products and good straightforward support to UK industry. Since its formation, PDS Instruments has built on its success and now has an unrivalled reputation for its after-sales service. Our dedicated team has a strong background in the service, testing and calibration field so supporting customers is just as important to us as providing equipment solutions. All of our team have vast experience in working with UK industry and PDS deal with a wide range of industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, education, EMC, manufacturing, military, oil exploration, research and many more.
PDS Instruments aims to provide the best product solutions for any given application and will source equipment and services from our principals and other companies as required. We have a number of partner companies that allow us to offer more than just ‘off the shelf’ products, so if you need something a little different then why not ask if we can help.
Our principal and partner companies are carefully selected on the basis of the quality of product that they provide, their value for money and of course, their reliability. Most of our principals are considered to be industry leaders in their given fields. Key personnel from the team at PDS Instruments:
Paul Fairall
Paul is a founder member of the company. He started his career as a service engineer in telemetry and control systems and has experience of the graphic arts field working with computer controlled type setting systems. Whilst working in these fields he progressed in to service management. More recent years have been spent involved with UKAS accredited calibration laboratories and specialist instrument manufacturers. Since 1997 Paul has been primarily involved with AC power applications with his focus in the avionics and military fields.
Peter Barker
Peter started his career with Erie Electronics and STC and has many years experience in the electronic component manufacturing industry. He had responsibilities for design, development, and product testing. Peter progressed to Technical Director of a leading UK component manufacturing company with responsibility for satisfying customer requirements and gaining product approvals. Peter is an active member of British Standard electro-technical committees and IEC technical committees. More recently, he has been involved with Power Electronic applications and component design projects in the Railway and Aviation industries before joining Paul at PDS Instruments.
