PDS Instruments Ltd was founded and is run by three electronics professionals
that all have a common goal… to provide quality power sources, electronics
test products and good straightforward support to UK industry. All of
the founding members of the company have a strong background in the service
and calibration field so supporting customers is just as important to
us as providing equipment solutions. All of our team have vast experience
in working with UK industry and PDS deal with a wide range of industry
sectors including aerospace, automotive, education, EMC, manufacturing,
military, oil exploration, research and many more.
PDS Instruments aim to provide the best product solutions for any given application and will source equipment and services from our principals and other companies as required. We have a number of partner companies that allow us to offer more than just ‘off the shelf’ products, so if you need something a little different then why not ask if we can help.
Our principal and partner companies are carefully selected on the basis of the quality of product that they provide, their value for money and of course, their reliability. Most of our principals are considered to be industry leaders in their given fields. Paul Fairall
Product areas - AC Power Sources, DC Power Supplies, Loads, Custom Power Solutions and, Calibrators, Component Test Equipment
Paul started his career as a service engineer in telemetry and control systems and has experience of the graphic arts field working with computer controlled type setting systems. Whilst working in these fields he progressed in to service management. More recent years have been spent involved with UKAS accredit calibration laboratories and specialist instrument manufacturers. Since 1997 Paul has been primarily involved with AC power applications with his focus in the avionics and military fields.
Simon Harman
Product areas - Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Component Test Equipment, High and Low voltage DC Power Supplies, General Test Instrumentation.
Simon started his career as a DC Power Supply test engineer after obtaining a degree in electronics. He has held a number of Sales and Service management roles in both the US and the UK. He has gained experience in power supplies, component test equipment, ATE and general test Instrumentation. Simon has experience of helping customers find the right solution to their applications throughout the world.
David Sheath
Product areas - Oscilloscopes, Component Test Equipment, AC Power Sources, DC Power Supplies and General Instrumentation
David started his career as a service engineer and then progressed in to field service, applications and then on to systems sales. He has held a number of sales and sales management roles and has gained experience in general instrumentation, power supplies and ATE equipment through working for a number of leading companies in these areas. His customer facing experience and solution provision in the UK and abroad has given him a good understanding of how to work with customers to find the right solution for each application.
